Hydrogen VCR technology

Decarbonizing the automotive industry demands versatile solutions beyond electrification alone. At Gomecsys, we are addressing this challenge head-on with our advanced VCR-H engine—a high-efficiency, dual-fuel system leveraging Variable Compression Ratio (VCR) technology optimized for both hydrogen up to 8 bar BMEP and gasoline from 8 to 20 bar BMEP.

The innovative VCR-H engine concept employs an adjustable compression ratio ranging from 24:1 down to 10:1, adapting seamlessly between high-efficiency diffusion combustion for hydrogen in part load operation and normal SI combustion for gasoline operation at higher loads. Simulation demonstrates significant CO₂ emission reductions of up to 63% compared to traditional gasoline engines, offering a practical route toward meeting stringent EU CO2 emission targets.
